Listened to the album, Ian. Thoughts so far: I really like the constant volume fading of the background instrument. It's kind of ominous and ghostly. There's a few songs that make good use of those micropauses. One critique would be your style is really polarizing and it makes some of the songs sound a little too similar. There are a few stand outs, but I'll talk more about that later.
The exceptions/ strongest songs were Floating (the knives sound and piano solo worked really well together), Fractals (it wasn't too intense and you had a really catchy opening melody and you gave it some time before you did a buildup. Also the key that the synth solo around 1:31-2:02 had a few parts that sounded Indian. Liked it), and Behind the Lines (which utilized the volume fading flow that I mentioned earlier to its utmost potential. And around 5:15 the song started getting sadder/ flatter which kept me interested in an 8 minute song).
There's two categories for the songs on this album. Ones that start immediately with drums and ones that don't. It's cohesive, regardless. Starting right off the bat with drums is a little cheesy, but that's not always a bad thing (depends on what you are going for). Fields and Strings, Intermission 2, Shatter, and ? ?? were a little cheesy- they just seemed a bit too much like all the EDM in how they started with a set beat.
I was getting a Christmas/ Diddy Kong Racing snow level vibe from Coraline. It's very pleasant and a weird way to end an album seeing that it was the happiest one on there.

Hey croz, thanks for listening and commenting. You're the first person to actually say something about the album except for one dude on reddit who said "i dig it" lol I don't think I'm sure what those micropauses are. I use a lot of delay so it could be that or is it in the structure of the song? Where the beat takes a second to kick in and it makes you expect it a split second earlier? And thanks about the background stuff. I listen to my music in my car so I like to make landscapes. What would you call my style or genre? I just make the music and don't really think about what to label it but I do feel like it's almost it's own genre. That's why I just use "Indie" as the genres of my songs on SoundCloud lol (also to avoid sounding pretentious like "neopsychedelic dreamfunk" or some shit like that) Behind The Lines and Fractals are my two newest songs, so I'm glad they're in the top 3. Floating surprised me. I made that one 6 months ago and literally put the chicken dance notes in a couple piano parts. Also the piano was inspired by this little diddle www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdUvaIV0t7EAnd yeah i know it's pretty cheesy lol the whole reason I started doing that was to listen to music in my car because I have 2 subwoofers lol and I've been getting into rap recently so I start the song off with drums because that's how I build a song. Drums then bass and then anything goes. I'm not to good at intros or the progression of the song. And this is coraline

What I meant when I said that was some of the bass instruments have a really slow attack and decay time and it gives the illusion of them fluctuating in volume constantly. Like, picture the volume meter just going up and down like a sine wave, that's the impression I got when hearing it.
I'm glad to hear that your latest tracks have been some of your best! That's a good sign.
As for the genre, it's tough for me to pinpoint one seeing that I don't listen to electronic all that often(although I've been listening to Perturbater lately). I wouldn't say it's 100% hip hop or EDM, but it's something along the lines of electronic+digital synthesizer. "Chill" perhaps? Think that's a thing. But it probably doesn't make a huge difference if it's mixed genre.
Cute little kritter' there
