Tried messing around with LMMS today, the result wasn't that great, but it wasn't that bad either. Quickly learned how to use it.
The track that I made with it is called SLIMEGRIME. It's not the worst track that I ever came out with, but it's also not the best thing that I ever came up with. Definitively not the best thing that I ever came up with.
Let me know if you enjoyed it!

Yeah, I'm having trouble with that lmms. Don't think my laptop is up to snuff. It's got 2GHz, but it usually runs at 1.16 with some spikes to 1.5-1.9. Testing out the buffer sizes, and yeah, it's slow and unresponsive at essentially everything. What specs were you guys running on, to get it to work (computer processing speed and lmms buffer size)? Cause the program seems cool

I'm running it on a big desktop computer that has computer stuff inside it performance hasn't really been an issue so I've not poked around with any of the settings, but my buffer size is way down on the scale. Frames - 256 Latency - 5.8 It could make a difference what drive your working directory is in. anyway, this is what I've been working on, not entirely sure what I want to do with this arrangement wise but I've been playing with tremolo string instruments + reverb. The piano track was just a guide at first but I might keep it as the main instrument. It's meant to be a battle theme with a spiritualist or medium. soundcloud.com/fawesomebeans/seeing-eye-wipp-01

Cool, digging tht piano.
Also, yeah, dropping the buffer speed to the lowest definitely helped the lagg. The notes aren't clipping on or off and it isn't a few seconds behind when testing notes on the keyboard, like it used to at high/medium/lowish buffer speed. But the whole thing just runs really slow for some reason, like even if I amp up the beats per minute to 999, it's still not running in real time. 5 seconds or so pass in LMMS for every second of real life time. Not sure if the buffer is causing that or not idk. The exports run in real time tho. Getting closer, and I'm psyched to try out this program once I get all this figured out.

Also, frog wall is not my favorite music from you man. Not quite sure the snare drum thing at the 1 minute marker (throughout the rest of the song) was really the right way to go. It doesn't fit really, maybe a more weird instrument or a more fluctuating rhythm or something of that nature.
Really dig Seeing Eye, tho. Please post more music, you're tunes are really charismatic/ memorable.
