If that's the case, then I'm sure you are gonna dig this vid by your boi fawful. m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXKVr8BhLckShame it'll never come to fruition... (although, to be fair, Jacob's Restaurant was much more fun to play, and had so much potential).

im not sure about these frogs do they seem off somehow to you guys: i've always had difficulty with frogs/toads I think they fit really well. maybe they could blink once they settle down, and sometimes they could sit still a bit longer.

I think they fit really well. maybe they could blink once they settle down, and sometimes they could sit still a bit longer. That's a really good idea. I was going to animate their white-undermouth expanding back & forth(like frogs do), but blinking and pausing a bit longer are also good details to add.

so i'm making quite a few games recently the first one is a really dumb steve irwin game, it has originated from an internal joke and it has quite possibly the worst imitation of an australian accent (i'm also imitating the brazilian accent, more specifically, the accent from rio de janeiro. i'm brazilian, in case you didn't know). it's basically another joke game for the whole family to enjoy with lots of clunky graphics, dumb animal planet jokes and roosters. the second one is another terrible creation, and this one is taking a lot of time to make. it is a very moody/heavy/atmospheric game. it has some scribbly graphics and all that stuff but i think that it contributes to the mood in some way. it's basically a very short story, all interpretation is left to the player's understanding etc etc in other words it's some dumb art game with no meaning whatsoever with a terrible ending. sometimes i don't like the player, i just want to reject the player as much as i can sometimes, make the player feel like a scum worm of the earth in other words... you cannot look away

i think the frogs would look more natural if they had a bit of bounce on the landing, maybe as sprite animation, or if there was a 'landing anticipate' sprite as well as a jump sprite
dude, sounds good

the scum project did not work very well, plus, i felt really bad for the characters in the story. just kidding i was just lazy i'm guessing that i didn't finish it mostly because i was too bored for these kinds of games. right now i would like to work on something that's more puzzley

also, shoutout to orange for making me see what was wrong with my games all along. orange, if you're reading this, thanks. huge, huge thanks. and i'm glad that he made me see it, or else i would keep making crappy games forever, which is not something that i would like to keep making for the rest of my life alright so here's the game it looks like a vvvvvv knock-off, but it's actually not a vvvvvv clone only the player looks like vvvvvv's main character, who i forgot the name the game is basically some sort of sokoban with an inversion mechanic. now what this means is that, if the arrow in the blue box is point towards the left side, you'll need to press the down arrow. basically, the controls are inverted. yup. i had thought of this mechanic a few months ago (in november 2015 to be more specific) and i never got to make this idea an actual game. to explain a bit better the mechanic: if the arrow in the blue box is pointing LEFT, you need to press the DOWN arrow in order to move it if the arrow in the blue box is pointing RIGHT, you need to press the UP arrow in order to move it if the arrow in the blue box is pointing UP, you need to press the RIGHT arrow in order to move it if the arrow in the blue box is pointing DOWN, you need to press the LEFT arrow in order to move it i know that the mechanic is not very interesting but it sort of is, you know. it also makes the game a bit harder, in my opinion. please, please tell me what i should do to make this game better. what should i do to make the graphics better, what should i change, what should i add? any criticism is welcome! thanks.

I don't understand what the mechanic is. But the graphics seem to have a consistent style, it does look quite interesting. The nice thing when a game is at this stage is that you can still do a ton of experimenting, both with the graphics as well as the gameplay.

I'll let these images explain the "mechanic". It's more something to do with the controls, but I consider it a mechanic. Also, I even added blocks that block your path in this game once you complete a certain puzzle in this game. It's pretty neat! Brilliant, isn't it?

Also, yeah, sorry for my English. I'm not from any English speaking country (I think I mentioned this one billion times already), I come from Brazil. Sorry if it sucks!

(I also think that the "mechanic" is a tad difficult to explain)

To explain this new project a bit better: it is some sort of mixture between the classic Sokoban game with a platformer. I think that Sokoban's idea is actually quite flexible and it can be adapted to virtually any genre (that's my opinion, at least. In certain kinds of games, it would definitively be a bit weird). It's a bit challenging as well! I also changed the graphics a little bit and I added a door. I'll try to change the door's sprite as soon as I have enough time, because the first trimester in my school is about to end and there's still a lot of work to do! In my opinion, the new graphics are a bit more fitting, don't you think?

sounds interesting, i'd like to see what you do with it. it seems like the kind of thing that you'd get to grips with pretty soon but then keep getting disoriented with under pressure.
you could have deadly mansters that kill you in it if you dnon't hit the buton
