jwaaaaaaaaaaaaaap and someone named Kitty Calis are hosting a jam thing for screensavers on itch.io Itch.io jam link: itch.io/jam/screensaverjamI already made one with surfaces it's pretty fun to mess around with this stuff. there's 2 days and 3 hours left, plenty of time to enter... I could even make a 2nd one if I felt like it. If you make something for it drop a reply to this topic!

That is way past cool, i stared at it for a good few minutes. I'm guessing a grid of four surfaces that don't get cleared with a particle system thingy over it?
I've been working on a game recently and I have stuff like this in mind for backgrounds and visual effects.
i didn't donate anything btw, sry am bad porson

im using 2 surfaces in the code and it basically just scales the surface up slightly every step and also rotates it sometimes so essentially the pixels in the very center of the screen will get bigger and bigger and stuff which makes it feel almost like you're falling into the middle of the screen at the same time I have squares falling towards the center of the screen which are drawn onto the surface and don't worry about itch.io donation thingy... I wish there were a way to make that thing less obtrusive... but I guess that's the main thing that makes itch.io unique I'm not in it for the money, though. This project was fun
