one thing i regret in my earlier games is that i didnt put any secrets in them not a single one
but after playing games from Daniel Remar like Iji and Hyper Princess Pitch it has made me realize how much i love secrets in games and so I want to have them in my games too when you find secrets it feels so good
What are your thoughts on secrets?

They are dang cool and I never think to put them in - or rather it's more work.

something that stops me from putting them in is thinking "will anyone even see it? is it worth it?"
i think it's always worth it but if I make a game I'm happy with, rather than putting more time into it, I tend to release it and think 'good enough'

yes, it's also sometimes difficult to come up with ideas for secrets

By the time you're ready to release a game you don't want to spend more time on it.

My games aren't really big enough for me to put secrets in them. For my bigger projects I will definitely do so, especially the commercial ones. It's about treating the player if they decide to go all out and properly play your game.
