the paintings are interesting although a bit vague can you guys give me critique on this: it's a combination of a marker drawing and also digital effects

There is something up with the snowman's hat that bugs me. I think because the rest of the image has a sort of 2D on a 3D plane, and the white highlights are glaring/ different. Also, having him behind the main character makes them look like one entity. So, try to be careful with overlapping dudes like that.
It's got charm, though.
And have you seen the tv show Chowder, orange? Your textures remind me of the art style ( it actually is an engenius show in the way they used animated characters with specific transparent portions that were atop a layer of unmoving texture. It has a very interesting effect when te characters move around, but the textures beneath them stay the same).

maybe the white circles could have some [more] shading so they appear [more] like spheres?

Also, having him behind the main character makes them look like one entity. So, try to be careful with overlapping dudes like that. That's exactly what I was afraid of. To some people it might look like one huge snowman. And have you seen the tv show Chowder, orange? Your textures remind me of the art style ( it actually is an engenius show in the way they used animated characters with specific transparent portions that were atop a layer of unmoving texture. I haven't watched much tv in my time, just internet videos. maybe the white circles could have some [more] shading so they appear [more] like spheres? I will try to see if I can do that.

Neat, have you tried making scanner art? You can do some pretty cool things with those.
