Uhh I feel kind of insignificant seeing you guys's stuff compared to this. But my next game will be pretty much my first attempt on pixel art. This is not even close to be finished. But I just found this thread and I wanted to share this. What do you think, any suggestions? Cause I'm not really sure about the perspective of the house. Attachments:

I don't know pixel art that well or what it is but I like what you've done, it looks weird. the windows of the building are effective I think. maybe some more lights like one or two on the cranes? the grey of the other buildings you chose with the blue creates a weird hard to look at effect. and wouldn't the moon shadow be more on-top of the moon if it's night? but i don't know, personally i like it the way it is because of these things. I don't see a problem with the house and really like how it looks illuminated compared to the bg darkness

Oh I didn't realized the moon shadow. And I will make some more lights on all of the buildings. But I was thinking about making the buldings and the sky darker. Maybe I will also make it rainy. But I'm not sure how I'll make that yet.

just keep on pixelling those pixels and you will get better and better and better. at the start of 2013 i sucked at pixel art then i practiced all year and then i think i can do it well now.

I agree, it's got a nice bounce to it and stuff I also, have done some peexel art for the new weekly challenge on PJ does anyone know how to move stuff without it being on the grid in tiled?

thanks, guys... i think i must be getting better at animating... I've referred to this tutorial occasionally though it's really helpful: www.angryanimator.com/word/2010/11/26/tutorial-2-walk-cycle/I like the outlines & shapes in your pixel art there, fawful... the only thing I feel is missing is some contrast... the colors seem a little too close together... but I would guess you're still working on it due to the big red rectangle behind the character person! also fawful I've been watching your pixel joint profile and I really like the new stuff you added!

thanks, sorry I've been neglecting to post stuff here. I'll try to do it more often. Yeah, the colours are a real pain to work with, I was actually very pleased with how much contrast I got in this given that this - - is the palette I have to work with. I don't have any time to work on it today but I plan to have it animated. I've been toying with the idea of building a program in GM to make animating scenes a whole bunch easier, so there'd be a button for parallax and you could make motion tweens like a pixel-art version of Flash.
